Medical Superintendent’s Message

” Punjab Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) is now a well-recognized centre of excellent medical care and teaching. It has already achieved an enviable status in providing tertiary level care at affordable rates. It is catering to needs of patients, not only from Doaba region, but also from neighboring districts and states. This has been possible because of in-house availability of almost all investigations, including CT scan and almost all treatment modalities including haemodialysis, laparoscopic surgeries etc. A dedicated team of doctors and para-medical staff ensures that we achieve maximum possible patient satisfaction. Medicine is perhaps the only profession where seniors are morally and ethically bound to teach their juniors everything they know. This, in fact, is the essence of progress in medical sciences. We, here at PIMS, spare no effort to train newer generations of doctors with a combination of experienced staff and the latest technology. Our library houses latest editions of books acquired from international publishers and it is equipped with the facilities to access thousands of books and millions of latest articles online. PIMS being a charitable organization makes sincere efforts to provide best of the services to patients at minimum cost.”
