CME on State Task Force – TB & Chest

TB & Chest department of PIMS hosted a State Task Force (RNTCP) meeting cum CME on 10th February 2015. The inaugural session of the CME comprised of short talks by Dr. B.K Kapoor, Professor & Head, Department of TB & Chest, PIMS, Jalandhar, Dr. Kulwant Singh Bhatia STF (PB) Professor & Head, Department of Pulmonary Medicine, Gian Sagar Medical College & Hospital, Ram nagar, Rajpura, Dr. Balbir Singh, STO Punjab, Dr. R. L Bassan , Civil Surgeon, Jalandhar and Dr. Kulbir Kaur, Director Principal (Chief Guest), PIMS, Jalandhar. Subsequently after a short tea break, the scientific session commenced with topic presentations on ‘Tuberculosis & Pregnancy’, ‘Standard of Tuberculosis care in India’ and ‘Tuberculosis: General Perspective’ delivered by Dr. JaiKishan, Professor & Head, Department of Pulmonary Medicine, GMC Patiala , Dr. Priyanka Aggarwal, WHO consultant and Dr. Vinnet Mahajan, Assistant Professor, Dept of TB & Chest, PIMS, Jalandhar respectively. The RNTCP status report of 3rd and 4th quarter was also presented by various medical colleges of Punjab which was followed by valedictory function.
